What to Bring With You
Here's what to bring with you to Lake Herridge Lodge & Resort: some necessary things, and some options that will make your stay more enjoyable.
Necessary Items
All toiletries, including toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, etc.
Bed Linen (pillows, sheets, blankets)
Beach towels, shower/bath towels
Clothes (dress for the season), including jacket/fleece for possible chilly days and cold nights
Appropriate licenses for fishing or hunting
Fishing rods & tackle, fileting knife, scale, etc. if fishing (we do have some tackle available for purchase)
Raincoat/umbrella, especially if fishing (it's important to be prepared)
Appropriate shoes (walking/boots), rubber boots (the trails can be muddy at times)
Hat, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses
Optional Extras
Camera, binoculars, video camera, extra batteries, and your favourite books
Extra folding chairs for around the fire (each cottage has two or three chairs, and there are a few more at the beach)
Bug hat, bug jacket
Portable boat seat for extra comfort
Portable fish finder and batteries
Water toys for the beach (kayaks, paddle board, and canoe are available on a first-come first-serve basis)
If there is anything that you may have forgotten, chances are we have one here. Come see us and we will be more than happy to lend it to you during your stay.
A Few Important Details...
Office hours: 8:00am - 8:00pm
Bookings, reservations and payments
You'll need 20% deposit (non-refundable) and a valid credit card to reserve cottages. Although deposits are non-refundable, we are able to transfer your booking to dates in the same calendar year (some exceptions may apply).
We need 8 weeks notice for cancellation. If you cancel with less than 8 weeks notice, you'll be charged full amount owing, unless we fill the cancellation space. If we do, then your deposit will be kept as an administration fee, but you won't be charged for the rest of the cottage rental.
All our rates are quoted in Canadian funds, and don't include taxes or hunting/ fishing licenses. The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) rate in Ontario is 13%.
Our preferred payment option is e-transfer, cash, or debit. Please note there is a $30.00 processing fee for payments made by Visa or MasterCard. We only accept personal cheques if they are given for deposits. We can't accept personal cheques for payment of balances.
No credit is given for gas left in our outboard motor tanks.
Overnight visitors to your cottage must be approved by us. A fee will be charged for the extra guests.
Arrival and departure
Check-in time: 3:00pm
Check-out time: 10:00am
Early arrivals and late departures may be subject to an extra fee.
We can't give refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
Your stay with us
Lake Herridge Lodge & Resort and the owners will not be held responsible for any damages, losses or injuries while on our premises or while using our equipment.
Any missing or damaged items that are in or part of the cottages, chattels, or boats and motors will be charged to the credit card and name on file for the reservation.
All our cottages are non-smoking. There are outdoor ash-buckets for those wishing to smoke outside the cottages. Be very careful with matches and cigarette butts. Fire is our worst enemy in the woods.
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our cottages, and there are a lot of them to keep clean. Therefore, we ask you to treat your cottage as you would your own home, and leave it in decent condition when you check out. Guests who leave a cottage in really dirty condition, or who smoke in a cottage, will be charged an extra cleaning fee.

Most cell phones work here, depending on the carrier.
Bait, tackle, ice and souvenirs are for sale at the Lodge.
The town of Temagami, about 12km (7 miles) north of our Lodge, offers several restaurants, souvenir shopping, a gas station, a post office, a public library including computers with internet access, banking, a laundromat, and sightseeing flights.
A medical clinic and ambulance service are available in Temagami. There are hospitals in both Temiskaming Shores (New Liskeard) and North Bay.
